Sony Xperia Honami to come with G Lens 20 MP Camera [Leaked Images]

This time of the year has many Smartphone released lined up. Sony Xperia Honami is one of the most awaited Smartphone in the list. Devices like LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are already announced to be launched on the 5^th Of August and 4^th In September, respectively but the date as to when Sony Xperia Honami will be unveiled is still not known.

Like with all popular releases, as the time draws near, more and more information is leaked about the Smartphone. Same is the case with Sony Xepria Honami as a number of recently leaked images indicated a 20 megapixel sensor integrated in the device. Earlier the device was rumored as a comeback of the CyberShot brand in the phone arena but since no such branding has been found on the device, it seems Sony Xperia Honami will house a G Lens instead.

According to the images leaked yesterday, Xperia Honami will follow the design pattern of Sony’s flagship Xperia Z device however, it is not expected to be dust or water proof and no aluminum bezel will be seen at the edges.

The camera seems to be the major feature of the upcoming device as the majority of the leaked information is regarding the 20 Megapixel camera which is said to use G Lens with Bionz processing and Exmor RS technology. Some rumors also suggest a full HD video capture at 60 fps similar to soon-to-be-released Moto X.

Whenever there is an anticipated Smartphone release, there are always a number of associated specs rumored about it. Sony Xperia Honami is speculated to include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU. The device will be supporting 2GB RAM and connectivity through LTE, NFC chip, Bluetooth 4.0, and IR blaster – features of a modern day Smartphone. Expect a 5-inch full HD display Xperia device with Triluminos panel.

Xperia Honami is not the only camera-based Smartphone is coming out this year. We already have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and its 16 megapixel sensor and Nokia Lumia 1020 housing a 41 megapixel PureView sensor as tough competitors in the market.

3GB RAM Plus Octa Processor to be Included in Galaxy S5 & Note 3

Samsung seems to reach there first. They said 3GB LPDDR3 includes six small chips of 20 NM that are further divided into groups of two. We are not sure if the already announced Galaxy Note 3 will come with 3GB RAM but we can now be more confident about the increase in RAM for the next in line, Galaxy S5 Smartphone. It is also rumored that the upcoming LG G2 might also offer a 3GB RAM.

 

Samsung Smartphones is about to see an increase in RAM for the next-Gen devices as the company confirmed mass production of 3GB DDR3 memory, we just might see it in Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3. RAM is responsible in Smartphones to give a smoother experience as it allows more apps to run in the background ensuring an uninterrupted multi-tasking process. Since all the major Smartphones are released with 2GB RAM, it was highly expected of companies to increase it for coming releases.

The latest 3GB RAM is not a compromise on size or power-efficiency, in fact it will enable the makers to manufacture thinner Smartphones. LTE-A support has also been kept in mind. According to the official company announcement, the technology will be available towards the end of this year. This might also mean a delay in Note 3 release to ship the device with new memory. Still, these are mere speculations based on the announcement.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 release is not expected any time before May 2014, thus giving a lot of time for the Smartphone hardware to go higher up the development ladder. By then, the Smartphone will definitely come with 3GB RAM, Octa processor, improved GPU, higher display and the already revealed, aluminum body.

With the increase in RAM made possible, it is not long before all the main Smartphone carriers including Sony, LG, Motorola, HTC and all the other start using the technology in their Smartphones. Another feature, all Smartphones is rumored to include is the fingerprint scanning sensor as well as Samsung’s very own design of flexible displays.
